The University of Bedfordshire is currently procuring for new Current Research Information System (CRIS) and Repository systems and as a result has an exciting new opportunity available. We are currently seeking a Research Support Systems Assistant to support the preparation, migration, and implementation of the new system(s). This new post sits within the Bid Support Unit, reporting to the Research Project Officer, and would be an ideal opportunity for candidates seeking to develop professionally. The successful candidate would be integrally involved in a vital project supporting research that makes a difference, locally, nationally and internationally.
Applicants will be proficient in working with data and exhibit exceptional attention to detail. The post holder will manage a varied and demanding workload by planning, prioritising and coordinating project tasks and processes in order to meet deadlines. The successful candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills, experience in training users and creating instruction manuals. They will provide a high standard of customer service, maintaining working relationships across department and specialist groups at all levels. Knowledge of data, metadata and file types, formats and standards as well as experience in using Current Research Information Systems and Research Repository Platforms would be welcome but full training would be given to the right person.
