The Business School is seeking a Teaching and Practice Coordinator who will take on the role of Study Centre Co-ordinator for the Faculty’s provision at our London facility. Based at the Study Centre (but with possible occasional travel to other locations including University Campuses at Luton and Bedford), the appointee will undertake teaching on a range of business courses and will act as the on-site co-ordinator for the management and delivery of study hub activities including student liaison and support.
The courses delivered at our Study Centres are also delivered on several other sites/campuses meaning a key responsibility of the Teaching & Practice Co-ordinator is to liaise with other staff to ensure the courses remain aligned to those on other sites while still meeting the needs of the Study Centre students. A second key responsibility is to co-ordinate local matters and act as a key point of contact for the Faculty’s Study Centre students and the staff teaching there to ensure an excellent staff and student experience.
The appointee’s teaching will be on a range of foundation year and undergraduate courses in business. A broad base knowledge and the ability to engage diverse students returning to learning without strong study skills is an essential requirement. Applicants should have teaching experience in HE or FE, a master’s degree and preferably additional professional experience and qualifications.
The post will be based at the designated Study Centre with some travel needed to Luton (the University’s main campus) and other study hubs and sites as needed.
