EXCITING NEW RESEARCH AND INNOVATION POST WITH INTERNATIONAL CENTRE OF RESEARCH EXCELLENCE
The University of Bedfordshire is a centre of excellence in integrated care research.
Funded by NHS England, we established the Bedfordshire, Luton & Milton Keynes (BLMK) Integrated Care System (ICS) Research and Innovation Hub. We are also one of the main partners in a National Institute for Health Research Policy Research Unit (NIHR PRU) for Optimising Integrated Care Services (OptICS) for physical and mental health care. This is an investigation of integrated care for adults at risk of cardiovascular disease and living with mild to moderate mental health concerns. We wish to appoint Senior Research Fellow to work across these two units and with a team of world leading researchers as well as a system of academics, commissioners and policy partners.
Our ambition is to ‘Create an inclusive health and social care workforce; and piloting and evaluating new ways of working to reduce economic, health and social care inequalities‘.
The successful candidate will be joining the Institute for Health Research & Institute for Applied Social Research which are international centres for research excellence; 76% and 81% of our research outputs are 3* or 4* respectively - “internationally excellent or world leading” - Research Excellence Framework 2021.
The successful candidate will have a good first degree or a Masters degree in applied health and/or social care. They should possess excellent quantitative and/or qualitative skills and extensive experience of how to manage projects with multiple partners. A PhD and/or experience of working in research and innovation roles including writing research proposals are essential too.
