The University of Bedfordshire is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and proactive part time Faculty Administrator. The post holder will be part of a dynamic team providing administrative support to the CATS Faculty in the university. The post holder will be substantively based in Bedford but may, on occasion, be required to work at our Luton Campus. Duties will be varied and will include providing cover for other administrators’ annual leave and other absences as requested, organising meetings and taking notes, organising travel and accommodation and administering staff temporary contracts. A particular focus of this role will be to co-ordinate improved engagement of academic staff with Schools in North Beds and Bucks and assisting with promotional digital content for the Faculty.
The successful candidate will hold an undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience in administration. They will have experience of office-based administrative activities and will be familiar with the use of IT platforms such as Microsoft Office. Ideally, the candidate will be conversant with social media platforms and be able to demonstrate a diverse marketing experience. The successful candidate will possess the ability to communicate effectively in person, in writing and email, and by telephone and will be able to work effectively with different categories and levels of staff and to empathise with people from a wide range of cultural backgrounds.
