The Faculty of Creative Arts, Technologies and Science invites applications to the post of Professor in our School of Media and Performance. Committed to developing excellence in teaching and research, the School offers tenure for an individual with an international research profile in the Performing Arts, who can demonstrate an ability to deliver leadership
in teaching, practice and research in this subject area.
We are looking for a productive and cooperative colleague, who will bring new perspectives to theory and practice with a commitment to deliver research outputs for submission to REF. The successful candidate will be a talented teacher and innovative scholar. They will evidence and further develop a track record externally funded research projects and / or enterprise activity, in addition to contributing to course development with a specific focus at postgraduate level.
The ability to teach undergraduate and postgraduate taught student and supervise postgraduate research students and further develop course portfolio in the School of Media and Performance is essential.
The successful candidate will make a strong contribution to the development of our Research Institute for Media, Arts and Performance (RIMAP). They will facilitate growth and development of its grant income, improve the quality of its research outputs and maximise impact for its associated Units of Assessment in future Research Excellence assessments.
