The School of Sport Science & Physical Activity is looking to offer a range of opportunities for hourly paid academic staff to contribute to the teaching and support of students on its portfolio of courses in the following disciplines:
Physical Education
Sport Pedagogy
Sport Development
Sport Management
Football Studies
Sports Studies
Quantitative
& Qualitative Research Methods
Dietetics
Physical Activity
Exercise Physiology Health Promotion
Nutrition & Health
Nutritional Prescription for Clinical Populations
Personal Training
Strength & Conditioning
Health Psychology
Sports & Exercise Psychology
Biomechanics
Sports Coaching

Teaching will be on Bedford Campus, although there may be some opportunity to teach at our other campuses.
You will be working with a supportive staff team and will also be expected to contribute to enhancing the student experience.
Work will include lectures, seminars, workshops, tutorials, placement visits and marking. Teaching may be at any level: from our level 3 foundation year (a pre-degree course) through levels 4-6 (for undergraduate degrees) up to level 7 (for masters). The qualifications you need, will vary according to the nature of the course with a minimum requirement being a qualification at least one level higher than that at which you are teaching. Experience in professional practice may also be required for some courses.
