Research Fellow in Laser Inference Lithography
Job information
Education that works
Applications are invited for a new research post to start on 1st October 2017, or as soon thereafter as is practical. We are keen to appoint a researcher with a strong track record of research at Research Fellow level (HERA Grade 7), who will take a key role in R&D in our H2020 FET project NanoStencil, which will be undertaken in the Joint
Research Centre for Computer Controlled Nanomanufacturing (JRCCN) and the Centre for Research in Robotics and Smart Information System Studies (RSS) within the Institute for Research in Applicable Computing (IRAC).
This post, which fit our long-term strategic research plan, also relates to taking forward our computer controlled nano-handling, nano-measurement and nano-manufacturing research activities with an emphasis on high-quality publications and supporting further research proposals.
Researchers within JRCCN and RSS work closely as a team, sharing tasks within the overall work programme according to their strengths and capabilities. We particularly value the supportive environment provided to the researchers by this approach.
General topics in which we are interested cover:
Laser components and laser inference lithography systems
Absorption of laser pulses
Thermal gradients and transients
Photochemical reactions and mechanisms
Modelling of nanostructure formation
Further information about JRCCN and RSS can be found at https://www.beds.ac.uk/research-ref/irac/rss
You may wish to discuss your application with Professor Dayou Li by email at Dayou.li@beds.ac.uk or by phone at +44(0)1582 489371.
Interviews will be held in October 2017.
