You will provide strategic leadership of the School of Accounting, Finance and Law within the Bedfordshire Business School. As a member of the Faculty Executive Group, you will support the Executive Dean in developing and delivering a vision for the School, across a range of academic discipline areas including accounting, finance, economics, law and human resource management. Your portfolio will include teaching and learning, research and enterprise activities and you will contribute to the wider University and external stakeholder groups to promote and enhance the School profile.
Providing inspirational leadership you will lead and manage the School’s performance in maintaining academic, financial, quality and administrative objectives and targets. Working with other Faculty Executive members you will work towards the growth of the student numbers in the School and enable scholarship and research to meet Faculty objectives. You will be centrally accountable for ensuring that staff are supported to ensuring students receive the best possible learning experience and achieving important graduate outcomes consistent with Faculty KPI’S. The successful post holder will work with other Faculty Executive members to ensure that the department offers a challenging teaching and learning strategy throughout its courses and units consistent with emerging University strategy and informed by the high standards in Business School education.
Additionally you will provide leadership for the School in ensuring our practice based curriculum and related activities across portfolio’s is implemented and developed in line with University and Faculty objectives. To achieve this and other key leadership responsibilities you be required to represent the University and Faculty/School in a range of external environments including professional, community, research and with other organisations to ensure that the objectives of the School and Faculty can be achieved.
With effective and proven leadership skills in jobs at a similar level you will have demonstrated an ability to bring about organisational change.
